When your Sim changes outfits, clothing piles will be placed in the nearest hamper (if available), or they will accumulate on the ground.
Owning any of the new laundry day objects (Hampers, Washers, Dryers, Wash Tub, or Clothesline) will cause Sims’ clothing to become dirty over time.
